This is really convenient and another thing Americans do differently; you can return any gift which you got on holidays even if you did not buy it yourself and get the money back for it. Even better is the fact that there is a National Return day which is usually held in the month of January in which can return the Christmas gifts without the receipts as well.
They give big tips and for a wider range of services.
In America the sheer percentage of tips is huge as compared to any other nation. Sometime it reaches up to 25%. Here in America apart from tipping the waiters, the bellboys, taxi drivers you’ll also have to shell out money to attendants in stores, tour guides, hairdressers, rest room and parking attendants.
People here have rare and short vacations.
Americans seem to be overworked and least holidaying workforce. They hardly get any vacations. Usually in other countries if you slog for a year you are entitled to a vacation for a few weeks or a month. But in America they do not give leave that easily. Even if they do go on a holiday, they are inundated with work calls, emails and checking in with office regularly. It’s like they are mentally always at work and can never really enjoy their holidays which is really sad.
In-sink kitchen garbage disposals
Because of their negative impact on environment they are banned from all the European nations but they are very much in use in America still. Food waste after meals or cooking can be directly flushed in the kitchen sink and in fact almost all-American houses are with this amenity.
