Among celebrity baby surrogates, Supermodel Tyra Banks said she had fertility problems and even went through IVF procedures with no luck. However, in 2016 she along with partner Erik Asla announced the birth of a baby boy through surrogacy in January 2016 whom they named York Banks Asla. In an interview she said "As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day.”

Lucy Liu is another case among celebrity surrogates who is specific about her private affairs. As a single mom, she revealed on her Instagram that her son Rockwell Lloyd Liu was born on August 2015 as a surrogate baby and she was deliriously happy about it too. Liu faced a backlash on social media but she says she just went ahead and did it and never even realized what people were saying.
